The Opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented Mid-Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a highly regarded engineering team building the next generation of real-time trading applications. Unlike many Full Stack positions, this role has a strong emphasis on creating modern, intuitive user experiences, with approximately 70% of your time focused on Front End development and 30% on Back End engineering.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and develop modern, responsive web applications using React and TypeScript (70%).
- Build intuitive user interfaces capable of handling complex real-time data.
- Develop scalable backend services using Java (30%).
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs and WebSocket services for live data streaming.
- Build high-performance applications capable of processing large volumes of real-time information.
- Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and continuously improve software quality, performance and scalability.
- Collaborate within an Agile engineering environment focused on delivering high-quality software.
We’re looking for engineers who are passionate about building exceptional software and enjoy solving technically challenging problems.
You’ll ideally have:
- 5+ years' commercial software engineering experience.
- Commercial backend development experience using Java.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and WebSockets.
- Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience using Git and modern development practices.
- Python experience would be beneficial.
- An interest in financial markets or trading technology would be advantageous.
