Middle Backend Developer

Summary

Build and maintain backend services in Node.js (NestJS/Express/Fastify), troubleshoot urgent issues, and gradually adopt Rust while working with SQL/NoSQL databases and microservices.

Looking for a Node.js developer who's not afraid of Rust, urgent tasks, and building infrastructure that actually matters.

The architecture, documentation, and project roadmap are already in place—the team is working according to clear plans, without chaos or reinventing the wheel.

What we expect from you during our collaboration:

  • Developing and maintaining the backend using Node.js (NestJS, Express/Fastify)
  • Promptly resolving urgent issues on existing Node/Nest services
  • Gradual onboarding into the Rust project with support and mentorship from the project’s technical lead
  • Working with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) and microservice architecture

This role is a great fit if you:

  • Have 2–3 years of professional experience with Node.js
  • Have a solid understanding of NestJS, Express, or Fastify
  • Have experience working with SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) and an understanding of microservice architecture
  • Are able to complete tasks independently without constant supervision from a manager
  • Willingness to learn Rust on the job—this is not a prerequisite, but an expectation for growth during the first few months
  • Experience with or interest in using AI tools in day-to-day development

The following would be a plus:

  • Knowledge of Rust
  • Understanding of how DNS/CDN systems work

What we offer:
24 days of vacation + days off
Remote work — choose any corner of the world to “be with us”
Support for your learning and professional development through external courses and educational activities (conferences, webinars, etc.)
Benefit Café: reimbursement for sports activities, English language courses, and mental health support
Health insurance
Financial support during difficult life situations—we understand that this is an extremely challenging time for every Ukrainian, so we’re here for you not only on the “good days” but also on the “tough ones.”
Employee referral program. The opportunity to directly influence business development and hiring strategy at a rapidly growing international company.

Hiring process: Recruiter interview → Interview with Head of Dev → Reference check → Job Offer.

Reach out if you’re ready to quickly tackle practical tasks using Node.js and want to grow your skills in Rust and large-scale infrastructure systems.

💌 It takes 7 days to review your resume.
If you haven’t heard back from a recruiter, it means your experience doesn’t currently match the requirements for this role—we’d be happy to stay in touch about other job openings!
