Middle Backend (TypeScript+Golang) Engineer

Join a project for one of the leading property portals in the MENA region, helping millions of people navigate one of the most important decisions in their lives: finding a home. As a Middle/Senior Backend (Golang + TypeScript) Engineer, you will build and improve backend services that power large-scale user experiences, working with modern technologies while contributing to the reliability, scalability, and evolution of a high-traffic platform.

Required for this role
3+ years of commercial experience in software development with a strong focus on TypeScript and Golang
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and hands-on experience building backend services with Node.js and Express.js
Practical experience developing, maintaining, and supporting services written in Golang
Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices
Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with AWS, including S3, ECS, DynamoDB, and RDS
Strong understanding of software quality, scalability, maintainability, and performance considerations
Ownership mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English level

Your responsibilities
Develop new backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js, ensuring high quality, scalability, and maintainability
Support, maintain, and enhance existing services written in Golang
Own features and technical initiatives from requirements analysis through deployment and post-release support
Refactor and modernize existing services to improve performance, reliability, and developer experience
Design and implement clean, maintainable, and well-tested solutions
Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to deliver business value and technical improvements
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions and decision-making
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to maintain system reliability and performance
