Summary

A middle mobile engineer (Android/Kotlin or iOS/Swift) builds features for an education product that spans native Android, iOS, and macOS apps plus shared code via Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform. Day to day: develop mobile functionality, refactor legacy code, investigate performance issues, and collaborate with mobile devs, QA, and the project lead.

We are expanding our mobile team and looking for an engineer who is confident in either Android or iOS development and interested in working beyond a single platform.

The product is being developed for the Education domain and includes native Android, iOS, and macOS applications, as well as shared functionality built with Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform. You will focus on your strongest platform first and gradually gain experience with other parts of the mobile ecosystem.

What You’ll Work On:
Build new product functionality and improve existing mobile features;
Work mainly with Kotlin on Android or Swift on iOS, depending on your expertise;
Help develop reusable business logic and interface components shared across platforms;
Refactor and update parts of the existing codebase while keeping the applications stable;
Investigate performance issues and contribute to the overall reliability of the product;
Discuss technical solutions, review code, and participate in engineering decisions;
Coordinate your work with mobile developers, QA Engineers, and the Project Lead.

What We’re Looking For:
At least 3 years of hands-on commercial experience in mobile development;
Solid practical skills in Android development with Kotlin or iOS development with Swift;
Motivation to explore the second mobile platform and cross-platform technologies;
Good understanding of application architecture, API integration, data persistence, and asynchronous operations;
Confidence working with established products that combine modern solutions with legacy code;
Independence in completing tasks and readiness to take responsibility for the result;
Strong teamwork and communication skills;
English at an Intermediate level or above.

Will Be a Plus:
Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or Compose Multiplatform;
Familiarity with both Android and Apple development ecosystems;
Experience building or supporting macOS applications;
Background in EdTech or other education-related products.
