What you will do
- Hands-on installation and replacement of network equipment, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Installation of network equipment in racks and connection to the existing infrastructure.
- Physical network patching and cable management.
- Connecting and verifying copper and fiber-optic links.
- Working with patch panels, SFP/SFP+ modules, and network cabling.
- Basic troubleshooting of physical connectivity issues.
- Equipment replacement and troubleshooting during hardware failures.
- Performing on-site network maintenance and implementation of planned changes.
Qualifications and experience needed
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or network operations.

Good understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model.

Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure).

Good knowledge of Layer 2 technologies:

- VLANs and Trunking (802.1Q)
- STP / RSTP
- LACP / EtherChannel

Good knowledge and practical experience with Layer 3 networking:
-
- IPv4 addressing and subnetting
- Static routing
- OSPF
- BGP

Understanding of Enterprise and Data Center network architectures.

Knowledge and practical experience with Wi-Fi networks:
- Access Points (AP)
- Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC)
- SSIDs and VLAN integration
- Basic Wi-Fi troubleshooting and coverage analysis
- Experience with network troubleshooting using ping, traceroute, SSH, packet captures, device logs, and monitoring tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot connectivity, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, and network performance issues.
- Basic understanding of network redundancy and high-availability concepts.
Will be a plus
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus switches.
- Experience with Cisco Wireless / WLC.
- Basic understanding of VXLAN / EVPN.
- Familiarity with network monitoring systems such as Zabbix, PRTG, Grafana, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of ACLs, NAT, and firewalls.
- Basic experience with network automation using Python or Ansible.
- CCNA or equivalent practical knowledge.
