Middle Office Operations Analyst| 3 Months Contract | Central
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of and develop a strong understanding of trade lifecycle activities from an Asset Management Operations perspective.
- Support trade confirmation and settlement activities across different markets and products, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and within internal and external cut-off times.
- Provide day-to-day support to trading desks, responding to ad-hoc queries and contributing to ongoing business and operational initiatives.
- Monitor trade flows and existing processes to identify operational risks, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with management and relevant stakeholders to implement process enhancements and operational improvements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Traders, Portfolio Managers and internal Operations teams, as well as external Brokers, Custodians and Vendors.
- Support the implementation of new clients, products, strategies and system architecture where required.
- Ensure operational activities are conducted with a strong focus on risk management, accuracy and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in Operations or Middle Office within the Financial Services industry.
- Operational experience with one or more of the following products: Equities , Fixed Income, Futures, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, confirmation and settlement processes.
- Experience working with Trading Desks, Portfolio Managers, Brokers, Custodians or other Operations teams is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong risk awareness and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to take ownership and accountability for deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
