Middle School Girls Basketball Coach

Stipend Amount: $1,850

Key School is looking for a qualified Middle School Girls Basketball Coach for the winter Athletic Season for the 2026-2027 school year.

The ideal candidate will support the Athletic program by helping students find the balance between individual achievement and the needs of the team, between broad participation and deep commitment to one sport. Key students value intense competition and honor good sportsmanship. The program seeks coaches who encourage inclusivity while promoting the students’ commitment to mastering skills, understanding tactics, fostering teamwork, and developing character.

The Middle School Girls Basketball Coach manages the program within the framework of the Athletics Philosophy of the Key School.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and attend all practices and games (practices and games are 5 days a week).
• Communicate with parents and students effectively.
• Attend meetings with the Athletic Department, the coaching staff, and the Director of Athletics.
• Organize and maintain all related equipment for the program.
• Head Varsity Coaches/ Program Coordinators will also serve as the school’s representatives at all IAAM and MIAA Conference preseason and postseason meetings and work collaboratively with the Admissions Office and the Office of College Counseling in support of our student-athletes.
