Middle/Senior Backend Engineer
Develop and maintain backend services for Xsolla ID, implementing authentication and authorization flows with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and WebAuthn. Optimize databases, maintain scalable microservices, write well-tested code, and support production authentication systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services for the Xsolla ID platform using Go
- Design and implement authentication and authorization flows with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and WebAuthn
- Optimize database queries for CockroachDB, MySQL, and Redis under heavy loads
- Build and maintain reliable and scalable microservices
- Write clean, well-tested code with unit and integration test coverage
- Collaborate with frontend engineers on SDK and widget integration
- Participate in code reviews and technical documentation
- Support production systems and troubleshoot authentication-stack issues
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Go
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and Redis, including query optimization and indexing
- Experience with Docker and docker-compose
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Understanding of Nginx and web server configuration
- Experience writing unit tests and maintaining high code quality
- Good English reading skills for technical documentation
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with REST API design and Swagger/OpenAPI
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Jira
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or other authentication protocols
- Experience with RabbitMQ or similar message brokers
- Understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Sharing a GitHub profile is a plus
