Middle-Senior DevOps Engineer — Relocation to Dubai

Open 16d

Summary

Build and scale the infrastructure for a cloud gaming platform, automating server provisioning, virtualization, CI/CD, and observability for a fleet growing from hundreds to thousands of machines.

We are a product company building AI-powered mobile applications used by over 10 million people in 150 countries. We own the entire product lifecycle — from the initial idea to large-scale global implementation. We thrive in a fast-paced environment, making data-driven decisions without unnecessary bureaucracy. If you value autonomy, rapid releases, and seeing the direct impact of your work, you will fit right in.

The Role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the team building the infrastructure for our ambitious new project in the Cloud Gaming & Streaming space. You will work alongside our Senior DevOps Engineer to build and scale a high-performance, fault-tolerant system that provisions and streams to a fleet growing from hundreds toward thousands of servers. This is a hands-on role focused on automation, reliability, and fleet operations at scale.

Work Format & Relocation
Location: Dubai, UAE (Office).
Trial Period: First 2–3 months are fully remote for a smooth onboarding.
Relocation Support: Full corporate visa sponsorship and relocation support provided after the trial period.

Key Responsibilities
Automate provisioning of bare-metal and virtualized hosts end to end — storage, GPU passthrough, VM lifecycle — across a large, heterogeneous server fleet.
Build and maintain fleet-scale orchestration: parallel deployment, health checks, and self-healing routines that keep hundreds-to-thousands of machines consistent.
Develop and harden automation scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell) that must behave deterministically across servers with differing hardware.
Manage Linux/KVM virtualization (libvirt/QEMU) and Windows guests, including GPU passthrough and networking.
Build and maintain configuration management with Ansible to keep fleet hosts and VM images consistent and reproducible.
Own CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code and deployment automation, so provisioning scripts, images, and configuration ship in a tested, repeatable way rather than by hand.
Work with object storage and large-scale content distribution (S3-compatible, e.g. Cloudflare R2).
Build the observability stack together with the Senior DevOps Engineer — metrics, logging, and alerting across the entire fleet (Prometheus/Grafana or equivalent). You will help design monitoring system from the ground up.
Own network configuration at fleet scale — NAT, port forwarding, routing, and traffic paths to thousands of concurrent streaming clients.
Establish secure secrets management (Vault or similar) and sane access practices across the fleet.
Participate in incident response and on-call rotation to keep a live streaming platform stable.
Help evolve infrastructure-as-code with Terraform as the fleet grows.

Requirements
Experience: 2+ years in a DevOps / infrastructure role, with exposure to systems running at meaningful scale.
OS Expertise: Solid Linux administration; working knowledge of Windows administration (or strong willingness to go deep — this project needs both).
Scripting: Confident with at least one of Bash / Python / PowerShell, and comfortable reading and debugging the others.
Configuration Management: Hands-on with Ansible for keeping hosts and images consistent.
CI/CD: Experience building pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar) for infrastructure and deployment automation.
Monitoring: Hands-on experience standing up and running monitoring/alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki/ELK, or similar) — comfortable building it, not just reading dashboards.
Virtualization: Practical experience with VMs and hypervisors (KVM/libvirt, QEMU, or similar).
Networking: Solid grasp of Linux networking — NAT, iptables, port forwarding, routing.
Language: English (Upper-Intermediate or higher, sufficient for technical collaboration).

Nice-to-have
Experience operating server fleets (dozens+) and writing idempotent, restart-safe automation.
GPU passthrough / vfio, or experience with GPU-heavy workloads.
Object storage at scale (S3/R2) and large-file distribution.
Experience building an observability stack from scratch on a large fleet.
Secrets management at scale (Vault, SOPS, or similar).
Familiarity with Terraform.
Exposure to the streaming or gaming field, or an understanding of data streaming principles.
Basic knowledge of C++ or C# to collaborate effectively with the core infrastructure team.

What We Offer

Greenfield Ownership: The monitoring and observability stack does not exist yet — you will help design and build it from zero, shaping how we see our entire fleet.
Growth: Work directly with a Senior DevOps Engineer on a greenfield platform — a strong path to grow your fleet-scale and virtualization expertise.
Relocation Package: Full financial and organizational support for your move to Dubai (visa, tickets, initial housing) after the trial period.
Modern Office: Work from a vibrant, tech-driven workspace in Dubai.
Real Impact: Direct influence on the tech stack of a Cloud Gaming platform with a potential million-user audience.
Fast-Paced Culture: A product-driven environment where decisions are made quickly, without micromanagement.
Compensation: Competitive salary pegged to USD (to be discussed individually based on technical interview results).
