A fast-growing digital health company helping people improve long-term metabolic health is looking for a Middle Strong Full Stack Engineer to join its product engineering team.
The role is primarily backend-focused (approximately 60% backend / 40% frontend) and involves building secure, scalable, and high-performance healthcare applications used by patients, clinicians, and health coaches. You'll contribute across the full stack while working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key skills and experience
- 4+ years of commercial software engineering experience in Full Stack development
- Strong experience with Python and modern backend frameworks (preferably FastAPI)
- Solid understanding of SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and relational database design
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Strong frontend experience with React and TypeScript
- Experience building responsive, maintainable user interfaces
- Understanding of component-based architecture and modern frontend best practices
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
- Experience working with AI-powered development tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, etc.) to improve engineering productivity
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional product teams
Nice to have
- React Native experience
- Storybook or design system experience
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices
- Experience working in healthcare, telehealth, or other regulated environments
- Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant systems and privacy-focused applications

- Collaborate with Product, Design, Medical, and Operations teams to deliver new features

- Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering best practices
- Leverage AI tools to improve development workflows and productivity
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate closely with the engineering team
