About The Role:
This position is located at the Columbus, MS Global Cellulose Fibers mill. As one of the largest softwood pulp producers in the world, this location produces bleached softwood pulp for use in paper and specialty products such as absorbent personal care products, pharmaceuticals and photographic-based papers.
Demonstrate leadership in the area of safety; support broad based participation in the mill’s safety process.
Continue to develop and nurture a team-based organization committed to employee participation and teamwork, to ensure the success of the Columbus Mill. Utilize CSA process to align Balance Scorecard initiatives to personal objective.
Maintain a focus on developing a strong reliability culture where a clear partnership exists between Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering and Reliability.
Manage the area to achieve budget manufacturing costs, working and ensuring appropriate attention to cost issues and searching for new methods to allow cost reductions.
Foster a culture that supports preventative maintenance, equipment care, precision maintenance, and improved reliability with goals to continuously reduce unscheduled downtime.
Demonstrate ability to focus on closing realizable gaps and keep reliability metrics.
Set expectations and hold both teams and individuals accountable for results.
About You: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum of 10 years of heavy manufacturing experience, Pulp and Paper industry preferred
Minimum of 10 years in Maintenance Management
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
Demonstrated record of safety commitment and results.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate to groups and individuals at all levels.
Demonstrated leadership focused on accountability and results.
Thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance functions
