Mining Operations Technician
You will provide 24/7 operational support for bitcoin mining facilities, assisting engineering and facilities teams as needed. You will log and scan equipment shipments, maintain inventory and tracking records, assist with installation or reorganization projects, perform basic miner maintenance (fans and power supplies), monitor mining pool data and temperatures, communicate HVAC or power issues, escort approved visitors, and provide phone troubleshooting and reboots. The role may require travel between sites and operation of a company vehicle; you must be insurable under the company vehicle policy and able to lift 50–75 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Log and scan equipment shipments
- Maintain inventory and update tracking tickets and spreadsheets
- Assist with installation and reorganization projects for mining equipment
- Perform basic maintenance on miners including fan and power supply replacement
- Monitor mining pool data and communicate significant changes
- Identify and communicate issues affecting the production environment
- Escort approved visitors in and out of facility locations
- Provide phone-based troubleshooting and equipment reboots
- Assist facilities team with building and electrical maintenance
- Monitor temperatures and report abrupt changes
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- No prior technical experience required; on-the-job training provided
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work without supervision and complete assigned tasks
- Able to lift 50-75 lbs
- Reliable self-transportation
- Must be insurable under company vehicle insurance policy
- May require operation of a company vehicle and travel between job sites
