MIS Assistant Manager / Manager
Salary: RM 6,000 – RM 7,000 per month
About the role
Manage daily IT support operations, including PC, infrastructure, telecom, and Industry 4.0. Supervise and guide the local IT support team, set priorities, and coordinate team activities. Identify and resolve technical and operational issues while developing and improving the Manufacturing Plant IT strategy. Provide first-line IT support when required and lead participation in Manufacturing Digitalization projects.
Key responsibilities
Manage daily IT support operations, including PC, infrastructure, telecom, and Industry 4.0
Supervise and guide the local IT support team
Set priorities and coordinate team activities
Identify and resolve technical and operational issues
Develop and improve the Manufacturing Plant IT strategy
Provide first-line IT support when required
Lead and participate in Manufacturing Digitalization projects
Plan and implement team training and cross-skilling
Improve IT service quality, productivity, and processes
Manage IT budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness
About you
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a managerial position
ITIL background
Experience in an international manufacturing environment
Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Good influencing and persuasion skills
Ability to make timely decisions in complex situations
Willingness and ability to travel when required
Good tact and diplomacy when handling sensitive matters
