Mission Support Specialist (Finance)
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, El Paso Sector, Mission Readiness Operations, located in El Paso, TX. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
This position uses your experience in various mission support duties that fulfill the goals and objectives of U.S. Border Patrol. As a Mission Support Specialist (Finance), you will plan and carry out a variety of mission support, budgetary, administrative research, and program planning activities. You will also perform significant review and analysis of budget, management, training, logistics, procurement, and other assigned areas. Typical duties and responsibilities include: Planning, coordinating and executing of business functions, resource allocation, and production. Selecting, acquiring, storing, and distributing resources such as materials, equipment, and money. Applying knowledge of principles, methods, and tools for automating, developing, implementing, or administering database systems. Listening effectively and clarifying information as needed in order to facilitate an open exchange of ideas and foster an atmosphere of open communication with other organizations.
