MISSION SUPPORT SPECIALIST (FINANCE)

Learn more about CBP's mission, core values and careers at https://www.cbp.gov/about In this Mission Support Specialist (Finance) role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in planning and carrying out a wide variety of administrative, management and program planning activities, research and analytical duties related to the missions and functions of the Mission Readiness Operations. This position starts at a salary of $46,533.00 (GS-05, Step 1) to $74,935.00 (GS-07, Step 10) with promotion potential to $91,664 (GS-9 Step 10). Typical duties of this assignment include: Managing requests and inquiries as a budget point of contact for assigned areas of responsibility. Executing purchases, conducting reconciliation, and maintaining proper record retention. Serving as an alternate preparer and travel point of contact while managing travel logistics to include preparing travel authorizations. Reviewing and approving travel authorizations and vouchers at the initial level. Providing ongoing support to end-users with Concur functionalities, travel procedures and ensuring compliance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and other applicable policies.
