Gulf Theological Seminary was founded in 2016 to train pastors and church planters for the 10/40 Window. We offer M.Div., M.A., and other programs accredited by the European Council for Theological Education (ECTE). As of 2025, at sites in Dubai and Abu Dhabi we are training more than two hundred students from thirty different countries. Courses are taught in English. We emphasize theological education in and for local churches, and are affiliated with Redeemer Church of Dubai, the Evangelical Church of Abu Dhabi, and selected international mission

Gulf Theological Seminary is seeking a full-time, residential Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Biblical Studies (New Testament or Old Testament).
This role will shape church planters, pastors, and ministry leaders for the least-reached part of the world by teaching courses in hermeneutics, exegesis, Old Testament, and/or New Testament, mentoring students, and producing scholarship that serves the church. Faculty may also have other leadership or administrative duties in support of the overall mission and vision of
Gulf Theological Seminary.

Candidates must be willing to raise missionary support and relocate to Dubai, UAE, where GTS is based.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- Abiding faith in Jesus Christ
- Love for and commitment to the local church
- Agreement with the vision and strategy of TLI
- Whole-hearted agreement with The Gospel Coalition Affirmation of Faith and GTS' Statement of Faith
- Meets character qualifications of a local church elder (1 Tim 3:2-7)
- Terminal degree in related discipline, or M.Div./Th.M. with openness to eventually pursuing a terminal degree
- Love for teaching, and ability to teach with excellence in a cross-cultural setting
- Demonstrated passion for the local church and the church’s mission of making disciples of all nations
- Membership in, and strong recommendation of, a faithful local church
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to ministry in a very diverse multi-cultural setting
- Pastoral experience preferred
- Willingness to make a four-year commitment to this ministry, barring extenuating circumstances
- Willingness to live in Dubai and join Redeemer Church of Dubai (redeemerdubai.com)
- Ability to raise support and move to the UAE by summer 2027 or before
