The Mixer must understand, follow, and comply with ALL safety rules and policies. This includes:
- Completing daily safety, housekeeping, and calibration checks
- Safely operating all mix room equipment
- Maintaining clean, organized, and hazard‑free workspaces
- Following all safety procedures and contributing to a safe team environment
Work Schedule
This position works a rotating shift schedule that changes every 4 weeks.
Shift length may be 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts, depending on production needs.
Shift options include:
- 12‑Hour Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 8‑Hour Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Candidates must be willing and able to work any and all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate all mix room equipment and follow established procedures
- Complete daily safety, housekeeping, and calibration checks
- Ensure accurate accounting of raw materials and finished products
- Understand and apply quality system procedures
- Participate in the communication and resolution of quality issues
- Remain proficient in all tasks listed in the employee training record
- Coordinate and communicate with team members to ensure responsibilities are met
- Maintain accurate data and utilize electronic systems such as Prism, Wonderware, SharePoint, and email
- Participate in team activities and ongoing training opportunities
- Maintain compliance with all safety policies and standards
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to perform basic math using a calculator
- Ability to use a computer for email and electronic systems
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good organizational and housekeeping skills
- Good hand‑eye coordination and physical ability to operate motor controls
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to complete powered industrial vehicle (PIV) training and certification, if required
