I am exclusively partnered with a gambling organization based in Melbourne looking for an MLOps engineer to work with AWS, Databricks, IaaC, Recommender systems
What You Will Be Doing:
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable ML and data platforms using Databricks, FastAPI, and AWS
- Building and supporting recommendation and personalisation systems that drive business outcomes
- Developing and operationalising machine learning pipelines, from data ingestion through to model deployment and monitoring
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and AWS-native services
- Collaborating with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and Architects to deploy and manage production-grade AI solutions
- Establishing ML monitoring, observability, governance, and model performance frameworks
- Optimising data pipelines and feature engineering processes to support scalable machine learning use cases
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, MLOps Engineering, or Machine Learning Platform Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, and ML capabilities
- Proven expertise developing scalable data and machine learning pipelines using FastAPI
- Strong experience with AWS, including services such as S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, SageMaker, Glue, or equivalent
- Commercial experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tooling
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments
- Exposure to building or supporting recommendation engines, personalisation platforms, ranking models, or customer analytics solutions
