Description

About Los Angeles Thunder
We are seeking a Ticket Operations Manager for our brand-new professional women's volleyball franchise as part of Major League Volleyball (MLV) in Los Angeles. As a founding member of our team, you will be a part of creating our organization’s culture along with our staff and you will establish the baseline for a best-in-class operation. If you are excited about the prospect of unlocking the collective potential of an emerging franchise and shaping the culture of a women’s professional team from the ground up, we want you in LA.
About the Position
Reporting directly to the Head of Ticketing, the Ticket Operations Manager will be a foundational member of the Los Angeles Thunder staff, driving all operational, technical, and analytical functions of our ticketing platform. You will oversee all event creation, seat manifestation, dynamic pricing, box office operations, game-day access control, and sales fulfillment. Because we are launching a new franchise, you will build our ticketing infrastructure from the ground up—establishing box office standards, integrating ticketing technology with our CRM, and managing financial audits. This position features a hybrid work environment (3 days in office, 2 days remote per week), plus match-day coverage. Success requires a technical expert, analytical thinker, and collaborative operator who thrives in a fast-paced live sports environment.
What You Will Do

Ticketing System Manifestation & Building: Build and maintain all event seat manifests, pricing tiers, promotional hold codes, and dynamic pricing configurations within primary enterprise ticketing platforms (AXS Back Office and Ticketmaster / Archtics).
Game-Day & Box Office Operations: Lead on-site match-day box office operations, ticket seller staffing, gate access control, barcode scanning, customer resolution, and seat re-accommodations across all Los Angeles Thunder home matches.
Sales Fulfillment & Service: Partner directly with the Ticket Sales & Service team to fulfill season memberships, group packages, premium hospitality, and single-match ticket orders accurately and efficiently.
Reporting & Yield Management: Provide executive-level reporting and analytical insights on attendance pacing, yield, pricing performance, revenue optimization opportunities, and inventory velocity to senior leadership.
Financial Controls & Reconciliation: Execute daily ticket batching, merchant processing, cash auditing, invoice generation, and financial reconciliations in partnership with the Finance team.
CRM & Data Integration: Maintain clean data synchronization between ticketing platforms (AXS / Ticketmaster) and our CRM (Salesforce) to support marketing campaigns, fan segmentation, and lead routing.
Vendor & Venue Coordination: Collaborate with arena venue staff, ticketing technology account managers, and league representatives to ensure operational compliance and seamless event-day execution.
Continuous Improvement: Establish ticket operations workflows, box office policies, and fan resolution standards for an emerging professional sports franchise.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in ticket operations, box office management, or venue ticketing systems within professional sports, collegiate athletics, or live entertainment venues.
Required System Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience working with enterprise ticketing systems, specifically AXS (Back Office) and Ticketmaster / Archtics platforms.
Strong understanding of ticketing financial reconciliations, daily audits, merchant processing, and inventory yield management.
Experience with digital ticket management, gate scanning technology, access control hardware, and CRM integrations (e.g., Salesforce).
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proven capability to solve high-pressure, fast-paced operational and customer service challenges on match days.
Knowledge of the Greater Los Angeles sports and entertainment market is a plus.
Passion for sports and live entertainment; familiarity with volleyball and enthusiasm for the growth of women's sports are a plus.
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work hands-on in a growing organization where priorities evolve quickly, processes are still being built, and no task is beneath the role.
Work Schedule & Hybrid Structure: Ability to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office / 2 days remote per week) as well as evenings, weekends, holidays, and match days as required.
