We are experiencing rapid growth, having doubled in size over the past 18 months, and are actively reinvesting profits to support future expansion. Our agile, collaborative team is based in a converted barn in the countryside between Exeter and Exmouth.
Role Overview
As an experienced App Developer, you will work alongside a talented software team within an Agile (Scrum) environment to build and maintain both web and mobile applications. You will play a pivotal role in translating business requirements into robust, user‑centric solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy new functionality and maintain existing applications, overseeing the entire lifecycle from conception to post‑implementation support.
- Collaborate closely with the software team to ensure seamless integration between the core software and mobile applications.
- Manage and query MySQL databases as required.
- Apply and promote Agile development practices, including daily scrums, sprint planning and retrospectives, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Deliver clean, high‑quality code in line with Unity5 Code guidelines.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced developers, if desired.
- Work collaboratively with support and other departmental teams to deliver the best possible user experience.
Requirements
- Proficiency in PHP, Python, HTML and CSS.
- Solid knowledge of Android development; iOS experience is an advantage.
- Experience with MySQL database technology.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and a desire to improve existing processes.
- Proactive, self‑motivated and autonomous work style.
- Ability to contribute to and adhere to project briefs and documentation.
