About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile) 4 to 8 years to own the design, development and release of our communication apps on Android, with cross-platform work in React Native. You will work across real-time voice and video calling (SIP/VoIP, WebRTC), contact-centre features, and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build Android apps in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose using MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture and multi-module Gradle.
• Build and maintain real-time calling features: SIP signalling, WebRTC audio/video, incoming-call push, foreground call services and Telecom integration.
• Deliver call handling, chat, presence and call history.
• Integrate on-device machine learning models (ONNX) through the native layer for offline inference.
• Develop and maintain cross-platform features in React Native for Android and iOS.
• Own app performance and stability: startup time, ANRs, memory leaks, crash rate, using Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles and LeakCanary.
• Make architecture decisions, review code, and set coding standards for the mobile team.
• Work with backend, QA and product teams on API design, planning and releases.
• Manage Play Store releases, policy compliance, and production monitoring.

Required skills and experience

• Strong Kotlin: coroutines, Flow, and a clear understanding of how they work internally.
• Jetpack Compose, ViewModel, Navigation, Room, DataStore, WorkManager, Hilt.
• Architecture: MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, unidirectional data flow, multi-module projects.
• Real-time communication: SIP/VoIP, WebRTC, WebSocket, push-based incoming calls.
• Networking and security: Retrofit, OkHttp, TLS/HTTPS, certificate pinning, Android Keystore.
• Android SDK internals: lifecycles, services, permissions, background execution limits.
• Performance tooling: Android Profiler, Perfetto, Macrobenchmark, Baseline Profiles, LeakCanary, ANR analysis.
• Testing: unit tests with coroutines and Flow, Compose UI tests.
• Experience shipping and maintaining apps on Google Play.

Nice to have

• React Native development for Android and iOS, including native modules.
• Contact-centre or UCaaS product experience.
• CI/CD for mobile (GitHub Actions or similar), screenshot testing.
