Mobile Developer Intern (Flutter)
Salary: RM 1,200 – RM 1,500 per month
Mobile Developer Intern (Flutter)
Job summary
Build the mobile face of the product. As our Mobile Developer Intern, you'll build cross-platform apps in Flutter that real clients and their users depend on - from UI to state management to API integration. You'll ship code into production apps, with a senior/director team reviewing your work every step of the way.
This is a Flutter-specific role. We're looking for candidates who have already written and shipped Flutter apps - ideally on your own initiative as a personal project, not just coursework. If your experience is primarily native Android/iOS, web front-end, or general IT, this isn't the right fit.
What you'll do
Build cross-platform mobile apps in Flutter (Dart)
Implement UI from designs, manage state (Provider, Riverpod, Bloc, or similar), and handle navigation
Integrate REST APIs and connect to backend services (Firebase, MySQL or custom Spring Boot APIs)
Handle local storage, push notifications, and platform-specific quirks (Android/iOS)
Write clean, tested, documented code
Work in a real delivery workflow: Git, branching, code review, deployment to TestFlight/Play Console
Requirements (we only review applications that meet these)
Currently pursuing a Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong Dart fundamentals and a solid grasp of Flutter's widget/state model
Hands-on experience building and shipping Flutter apps, driven by your own initiative
Working understanding of REST APIs and consuming them from a mobile client
A GitHub profile or code samples we can review, ideally including a built and running Flutter app (APK or TestFlight link is a bonus)
Available for a full-time internship, minimum 3 to 6 months
What we expect from you
We move fast. We need someone who communicates without being chased, flags blockers early, asks questions when stuck instead of going quiet for two days, and updates the team before being asked.
We hope you're not someone who just sits and waits for instructions - we're looking for someone who sees a gap and closes it. If you need constant supervision to stay productive, this role might not be the right fit for you.
Good To Have
Own transport to the office
Personal projects that demonstrate real backend work - a published app, a side tool, something you built because you wanted to
Experience developing with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, or similar agentic workflows)
Familiarity with native platform channels, Firebase, or CI/CD for mobile (Codemagic, Fastlane)
Exposure to app store submission (Play Store / App Store) or push notification setup
