Chemsolv is seeking a skilled and dependable Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medium/heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other company equipment across multiple service locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, and equipment
  • Complete DOT-compliant PM services in accordance with 49 CFR 396
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air brake system issues
  • Perform repairs including tires, lighting, and general fleet maintenance
  • Maintain accurate repair orders, inspection forms, and work orders
  • Conduct final operational testing to ensure quality repairs
  • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform lot checks and additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Diesel mechanic training through college, trade school, or military preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a tractor-trailer dealership setting OR 10+ years in a fleet maintenance environment
  • Knowledge of DOT inspection requirements and federal compliance standards
  • Experience with air brake diagnostics and repair
  • Experience repairing diesel-powered light, medium, and heavy-duty equipment
  • Inspector and brake inspector certifications preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
