Mobile Diesel Technician - Tupelo, MS
Summary
TNTX is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician in Tupelo, MS to diagnose and repair heavy/medium duty trucks at customer and off-site locations, verify fixes, handle warranty parts, track billable time, and follow OSHA safety protocols. Needs heavy-duty repair knowledge, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
This is for a Mobile Technician. Repairs and other related work will be performed at the customers location and/ or other off-site locations.
Essential Job Functions:
Diagnose and repair assigned vehicles in an accurate and timely manner.
Verify repair is complete and fixes original customer complaint.
Notify shop foreman of other potential issues associated with vehicle.
Punches in and out of job costing program to ensure accurate time billed to customer.
Mindful of maintaining customer’s vehicle cleanliness at all times while working on vehicle.
Works to achieve company efficiency standards.
Ensures warranty parts are returned to proper department for processing.
Follows all established OSHA and company safety protocol to include keeping work station neat, clean, and free of debris.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
Verbal and written communication to include simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Basic computer use and navigation skills.
Knowledge of Heavy Duty/ Medium repair techniques.
Ability to learn company standards, warranty procedures, and vehicle policies.
Customer Service focused.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Education:
Associate’s degree from a two year college or trade school.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 6 months Heavy Duty/ Medium Duty repair work.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
Commercial Driver’s License
Clean MVR Record
