Position Summary
Life Medical is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mobile Echocardiography Technologist (Cardiac Sonographer) to join our growing diagnostic imaging team. In this mobile role, you will perform high-quality echocardiograms using portable ultrasound equipment at patient homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and other healthcare locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care while working independently in the field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare locations to perform scheduled echocardiographic examinations.
- Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols.
- Acquire high-quality diagnostic images and measurements for physician interpretation.
- Evaluate image quality during examinations to ensure complete and accurate studies.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
- Accurately document patient information, examination details, and technical findings.
- Upload completed studies promptly for physician interpretation.
- Maintain portable echocardiography equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, maintenance, and reporting of equipment concerns.
- Adhere to all infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company policies.
- Communicate professionally with physicians, nurses, caregivers, facility staff, and scheduling personnel.
- Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and within established timeframes.
- Maintain an organized daily schedule while adapting to changes in patient needs and priorities.
