MOBILE ENGINEER

Summary

Build and maintain cross-platform or native mobile apps for a fintech company, integrating APIs and collaborating with product/design/backend teams.

This is a remote position.

The Mobile Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cross-platform or native mobile applications. The role involves collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver performant, scalable, and intuitive mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
  • Build reusable, scalable, and high-performance mobile components.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and services.
  • Translate UI/UX designs into responsive mobile interfaces.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize mobile app performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and agile development processes.
  • Ensure application quality through testing and continuous improvement.
  • Support app deployment to app stores and manage release cycles.
  • Stay updated with mobile development trends and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of mobile development experience.
  • Experience building production mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture and lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Agile development environments.
  • Good problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in remote, cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills

  • Mobile Frameworks: React Native, Flutter, or native Android (Kotlin/Java) / iOS (Swift)
  • API Integration: RESTful APIs, JSON
  • State Management: Redux, Provider, Bloc, or equivalent
  • Version Control: Git / GitHub / GitLab
  • Backend Integration: Basic understanding of backend systems
  • Testing: Unit testing and mobile testing frameworks
  • Tools: Android Studio, Xcode, VS Code
  • Cloud: Amazon Web Services / Firebase (preferred)
