Mobile Engineer

Summary

Build and ship iOS and Android apps using Kotlin, Swift, Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI, owning releases from code to App Store and Google Play.

Design, implement, test and support complex mobile applications on both iOS and Android
Contribute to and lead feature releases across both platforms, keeping them consistent in behaviour and quality
Ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability and performance
Own the release process end to end, including App Store and Google Play submissions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle
Participate in requirement gathering, solution design and roadmap planning
Review code, share knowledge with the team and promote best practices
Estimate tasks, manage risks and meet project deadlines
Communicate effectively with product managers, stakeholders and partners
Proactively solve challenges and drive continuous improvements

5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with hands-on delivery on both iOS and Android
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Swift, and solid command of the Android and iOS core libraries
Experience with modern declarative UI - Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI
Proven track record of delivering clean, maintainable and well-tested code
Deep understanding of both mobile ecosystems, architecture patterns and emerging trends
Experience working with RESTful APIs and push notification services (FCM, APNs)
Familiarity with app store release processes and mobile CI/CD
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills especially in simplifying complex problems
Strong communication skills, both within the team and across departments
Attention to code quality, testing, and long-term maintainability
Proactive mindset focused on delivering effective, user-centric solutions
Willingness to take part in 24/7 support duty for our mobile applications (on-call rotation within the team)
English: Fluent in Text & Speech

Experience with cross-platform tools like Kotlin Multiplatform, Flutter, Ionic, or Capacitor
Experience with offline-first architectures and local data persistence
Experience with automated UI testing on mobile
German language skills
