Mobile Engineer
About the company
Our client is a consumer technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take ownership of key features in a consumer mobile application, covering development, release management and analytics instrumentation. Use AI coding tools and agent-driven workflows daily to ship quickly. Work closely with backend, design, product and data colleagues in a small, flat engineering group.
What you'll do
- Own and deliver major native iOS features in a consumer app with a large audience.
- Build and extend agent-based automation that helps write, review, test and instrument code.
- Lead release management from start to finish, including continuous integration, beta distribution, staged rollouts, crash triage and hotfixes.
- Add analytics events to new features and verify that the data arrives correctly so business reporting stays reliable.
- Partner with backend, design, product and data teammates to improve app performance, stability and user retention.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Hands-on history of launching and maintaining a consumer-facing mobile app in a live environment, on any major mobile platform.
- Strong command of native mobile development on Apple platforms, or comparable expertise on Android or a cross-platform framework.
- Practical experience managing app quality and the release pipeline, from builds through store distribution and incident response.
- Everyday use of AI coding assistants, with pieces of your workflow already handed to agents.
- Familiarity with video or media features on mobile devices, especially under unreliable connectivity.
- A maker mindset, demonstrated by side projects, open-source contributions or publicly available apps.
- Openness to non-traditional backgrounds, including founders and standout early-career engineers.
