Mobile/Floating Building Cleaner
As a Floating Facility Care Specialist, responsibilities vary by location and the specific needs of each building. This role requires traveling between multiple sites to ensure all facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Sanitizing
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to maintain overall cleanliness.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms—sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors—meeting hygiene and sanitation standards.
Trash and Waste Management
- Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Maintain odor-free and clutter-free environments throughout each facility.
Surface and Touchpoint Cleaning
- Wipe down desks, counters, tables, and chairs to remove dust and debris.
- Sanitize high-touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, and railings to prevent germ transmission.
Floor and Carpet Care
- Sweep, mop, and maintain all hard-surface floors, paying special attention to spills and high-traffic areas.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs; spot clean stains when necessary.
Glass and Window Cleaning
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors to ensure a streak-free finish.
- Remove fingerprints, smudges, and other marks for a polished appearance.
Restocking Supplies
- Replenish restrooms and common areas with essential supplies (e.g., toilet paper, soap, paper towels, sanitizer).
- Monitor inventory and report low stock levels to supervisors.
Minor Maintenance Support
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
- Report safety concerns or repair needs promptly.
Safety and Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly to maintain a safe work environment.
Communication and Coordination
- Maintain professional communication with supervisors, team members, and building occupants.
- Provide updates on building conditions, special requests, or maintenance concerns.
Flexibility and Adaptability
- Adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and site locations as required.
- Manage time effectively to complete cleaning assignments efficiently across multiple facilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; prior janitorial cleaning experience highly desired.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to multiple buildings.
- Successfully complete and pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to listen to customer requests and follow the supervisor’s directions.
- Valid driver's license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands are representative of requirements that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequent walking on hard surfaces, standing, bending, lifting and repeating cleaning motions for extended periods of time. Use of commercial cleaning equipment. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to cleaning supplies and equipment, fumes or airborne particles (dust), moderate to loud noises and a fast-paced environment.
