We are modernising our technology landscape, investing in cloud, AI, digital capabilities and long-term architecture to support future growth.

As part of this journey, we're looking for a Mobile Network Domain Architect who wants to help shape the future of one of the Nordic region's leading telecom operators.

You will play a key role in defining how mobile networks, IT and service operations work together across Sweden and Denmark. This is an opportunity to influence the future of autonomous, software-driven networks, AI-assisted operations and the evolution of 5G Standalone while helping shape the long-term direction towards 6G.

About our architecture community
At Tre, architecture is evolving into a stronger advisory capability with greater influence across business and technology.

Our architects help create clarity, guide strategic decisions and connect long-term direction with practical execution. You will work alongside Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Technology Architects, engineering teams and senior leaders to shape the future technology landscape across Sweden and Denmark.

This is an opportunity to join a growing architecture community with increasing impact on technology strategy, transformation initiatives and business outcomes.

About the role

As our Mobile Network Domain Architect, you will own the target architecture and roadmap for the Mobile Network, OSS and Service Management domain.

You will define how mobile network platforms, OSS, BSS and service management capabilities work together to enable scalable, resilient and increasingly autonomous operations.

A key part of the role is shaping end-to-end service architecture and driving the evolution of 5G Standalone while contributing to Tre's long-term direction towards 6G.

Working across Sweden and Denmark, you will provide long-term architectural direction and establish the guardrails that support future transformation initiatives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will:

  • Own and evolve the target architecture and roadmap for Mobile Network, OSS and Service Management.
  • Drive the journey towards increasingly autonomous and software-driven network operations.
  • Define and govern end-to-end service architecture and service lifecycle management.
  • Lead the architectural evolution of 5G Standalone and contribute to future 6G direction.
  • Shape architecture for inventory, fulfilment, orchestration, assurance, observability and automation.
  • Coordinate architecture across mobile networks, OSS, BSS and service-management capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, modernise and consolidate fragmented OSS capabilities.
  • Define architectural principles, standards, reusable patterns and governance guardrails.

You can look forward to:

  • Architectural ownership of a strategically important telecom domain.
  • A central role in Tre's journey towards autonomous networks and AI-assisted operations.
  • End-to-end influence across mobile networks, OSS, BSS integration and service management.
  • The opportunity to shape 5G Standalone evolution and future 6G direction.
  • Significant influence on customer experience, operational resilience and network efficiency.
  • Being part of a growing architecture community with increasing impact on business and technology decisions.

Mats describes himself as a leader:
"I believe great architects create clarity rather than complexity. We provide advisory and ‘marriage counseling’ for IT and Business. I value curiosity, accountability and collaboration, and I encourage people to challenge established ways of working when there is a better path forward. My role as a leader is to provide direction, remove obstacles and create an environment where people can have real impact and grow in their area of expertise."

We believe you have

Must-have:

  • Extensive experience in telecom architecture, mobile networks, OSS or service-management environments.
  • Strong understanding of OSS capabilities such as inventory, provisioning, fulfilment, orchestration and service assurance.
  • Experience defining target architectures, roadmaps and transformation plans.
  • Experience working across mobile network engineering, operations, OSS, BSS and IT delivery.
  • Knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, automation and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong understanding of service lifecycle management, resilience and observability.
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills in English.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with 4G or 5G Standalone architecture.
  • Experience with TM Forum Autonomous Networks, ODA or Open APIs.
  • Experience defining telecom service models across OSS and BSS.
  • Familiarity with AIOps, automation or event-correlation platforms.
  • Experience working in a Nordic or multi-country environment.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who:

  • Thinks strategically while remaining pragmatic.
  • Creates clarity in complex environments.
  • Builds strong relationships across business and technology.
  • Has deep telecom knowledge combined with a strong end-to-end perspective.
  • Is curious, proactive and driven by continuous improvement.
