Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home OT assessments for older adults
- Support independence with daily activities, mobility, and home safety
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
- Educate clients and caregivers to support aging in place
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and document care
Qualifications
Required:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Registered Occupational Therapist in Nova Scotia
- Valid Canadian driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle
Preferred:
- Geriatric and/or neurological experience
- Knowledge of public and private healthcare systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in professional growth
