MOBILE SERVICE ENGINEER

Summary

The Mobile Service Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile devices such as phones and tablets. This role involves hardware component replacement, software troubleshooting, and providing technical support to customers.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mobile phones, tablets and other mobile devices.
  • Perform hardware and software fault diagnosis, testing and servicing.
  • Replace defective components such as screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras and other internal parts.
  • Perform software installation, updates, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct functional testing and quality checks before returning devices to customers.
  • Handle warranty and non-warranty repair services.
  • Maintain accurate records of repair jobs, parts used and device status, including IMEI/serial numbers.
  • Provide technical support and explain repair issues and solutions to customers.
  • Identify recurring technical problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain repair tools, equipment and spare-parts inventory.
  • Follow company procedures for customer data protection and device handling.
  • Support the shop team with technical advice relating to mobile devices and accessories.
