Perform advanced level repair and maintenance of company tractors, trailers , and equipment through proper diagnostics, troubleshooting, and use of had tools, precision measuring instruments and machine tools with no assistance. Work performed roadside, in various shops and customer locations. Self directed with minimal supervision.

- Preventive Maintenance & Inspections: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections and follow up repairs on medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Document according to company standards and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all findings on Repair Orders using company-issued device. Accurately complete work orders, DOT forms, and all other forms of documentation in a timely manner.
- Diagnosing & Repairing Mechanical Issues: Diagnose/ perform minor adjustment and repairs on various types of truck/ trailer equipment including, but not limited to the following: Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Engine electronics, steering systems, Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials, etc. Use hand tools, precision instruments, as well as Diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks. Document according to company standards and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all findings on Repair Orders using company-issued device.
- Communication & Reporting: Communicate with management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers and/or discuss issues that may occur. Accurately complete work orders, DOT forms, and all other forms of documentation in a timely manner.
- Safety & Compliance: Attend all shop safety meetings. Adhere to all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and state and federal safety regulations while performing work duties. Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing work duties. Perform all remote repairs in established work zones utilizing barriers, cones, lights and tag outs to clearly identify non-shop work locations for the safety of all team members. Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Utilizes a Service Vehicle to perform Road Calls: Travels to road calls at remote maintenance or operation facilities as needed. Proactively equips the service vehicle with necessary tools and parts for the repairs. Maintain and operate company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections of vehicle.
- Independently manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company-issued service truck and perform periodic reconciliation. Obtain parts from Ruan's approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
