Summary
Designs, builds, and maintains automated test frameworks and scripts for Android/iOS mobile apps, running functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests and wiring them into CI/CD pipelines. Stack includes Appium/Espresso/XCUITest, Java/Kotlin/Swift/Python/JS, Git, and Postman; German fluency and B2B contract required.
We are looking for a Mobile Test Automation Engineer to join our partner's team and contribute to ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of mobile applications.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications on Android and/or iOS.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and reusable test components.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects, regressions, and potential issues.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure application quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster feedback.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Maintain and improve the stability, reliability, and execution speed of automated test suites.
- Work with mobile emulators, simulators, and real devices to validate application behavior across different environments.
- Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, and test strategy discussions.
- Contribute to improving testing processes, automation coverage, and QA best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software testing, with a strong focus on mobile test automation.
- Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
- Good programming skills in at least one language, such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience testing native, hybrid, and/or cross-platform mobile applications.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA processes.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated test execution pipelines.
- Experience working with Android emulators, iOS simulators, and real mobile devices.
- Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Experience with performance, compatibility, and cross-device testing.
- Knowledge of mobile application architecture and the mobile release lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
