Job Title: Mobile Therapist-IBHS Individual Services

Reports To: IBHS Clinical Director

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Hours: Part time; flexible to meet the needs of the child/adolescent

and family

Regulation Adherence: 55 Pa. Code Chapter 5240

SUMMARY

Mobile Therapy (MT) sessions within IBHS involve a therapist working one-on-one with a child/adolescent in their natural environments—home, school, or community. The sessions are designed to address emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges by providing individualized support, coping strategies, and skill-building. Mobile therapy sessions consist of individual therapy, family therapy, development and revision of the ITP, assistance with crisis stabilization and assistance with addressing challenges with the child/adolescent.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR TASKS

  1. Provide individual and family sessions in the child’s natural environments of the home, school and community.
  2. Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the child/adolescent in following classroom expectations, improving social interactions, and developing strategies for self-regulation.
  3. Provide flexible, tailored interventions that support the child’s/adolescent’s overall well-being and help the child/adolescent function effectively in their daily environments.
  4. Provide family sessions to strengthen family dynamics, improving communication, and providing caregivers with tools to support their child’s/adolescent’s emotional and behavioral needs.
  5. Ensure confidentiality of treatment and files of the child/adolescent.
  6. Document interactions and progress in the child/adolescent files, ensuring accurate records of treatment sessions and outcomes.
  7. Maintain professionalism in both written and verbal communication.
  8. Understands and adheres to established Excentia Human Services policies and procedures.
  9. Keep informed of new developments in the field of mental health.
  10. Complete mandatory trainings.
  11. Maintain licensure requirements.
  12. Attend supervision per IBHS guidelines with the IBHS Clinical Director for Individual Services.
  13. Ensure all program rules and regulations are followed.
  14. Develop individualized treatment plans and update the treatment plans per IBHS guidelines.
  15. Monitor and change, if needed, the treatment conditions to ensure child engagement and progress.
  16. Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
  17. Provide crisis and family support, as needed.
  18. Maintain compliance with IBHS regulations.
  19. Work cooperatively with families, caregivers, and team members to provide children/adolescents with the best care and treatment.
  20. Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  21. Submit billing accurately and timely.
  22. Attend team meetings, as needed
  23. Other job tasks as assigned.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Meet with the Clinical Administrator regularly.
  2. Report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies.
  3. Maintain confidentiality as per HIPAA and procedural safeguards.
  4. Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  2. Office time with exposure to toners and ink cartridges;
  3. Seasonal displays may include hay, leaves, flowers, pine needles, etc.;
  4. Noise level can be high at times.
  5. Potential exposure to communicable childhood diseases and/or other communicable diseases.
  6. Child/adolescent may carry fluid or blood-borne pathogens.
  7. All sessions are in person; this is not a work from home (remote) position.
