About This Role
We're looking for an experienced, dependable Mobile Trailer Technician to join our Indianapolis, IN service center. You'll take our shop on the road, handling trailer repairs, preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and road service calls at customer locations. This is not an entry-level position; you'll work independently and be trusted to diagnose and fix problems on the spot. We value the experience you bring, put safety first, and respect your work-life balance. Experienced mobile technicians receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

What You'll Do
- Provide mobile repair and road service for trailers at customer locations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer issues, and plan repairs based on work orders and inspection
- Perform trailer repairs, including wall and floor patches
- Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
- Replace wheel seals and perform welding as needed
- Follow checklists to ensure all critical components are examined
- Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices, and adjust as needed
- Tag all warranty parts and returns for the warranty clerk
- Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer procedures, labor time guidelines, repair order documentation, and torque specifications
- Meet production goals set by management
- Stay current on factory technical bulletins and complete assigned training
- Build positive relationships with customers and represent the company professionally on-site
- Follow all safety requirements and keep your service truck and work area clean and organized
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a trailer mechanic; mobile or road service experience preferred
- Good driving record
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical
- Self-motivated and professional, able to work independently
- Team player with a strong commitment to customers and the service team
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting, standing, and stooping/kneeling
- Reaching with arms and hands
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently in field settings
