Position Summary
Life Medical is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Ultrasound Technologist to join our expanding diagnostic imaging team. This position is responsible for independently performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable ultrasound equipment in a variety of healthcare settings.
The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working independently while providing exceptional patient care in a mobile environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare locations to perform scheduled ultrasound examinations.
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to:
- Abdomen
- Pelvic
- Renal
- Thyroid
- Soft Tissue
- Breast (if credentialed)
- Obstetric/Gynecology (if credentialed)
- Small Parts
- Additional ultrasound examinations as ordered by the physician
- Obtain accurate diagnostic images following established scanning protocols and physician orders.
- Verify patient identity and explain examination procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
- Accurately document patient information, examination findings, and technical details.
- Upload completed studies promptly for physician interpretation.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment by performing routine cleaning, inspection, and reporting equipment concerns.
- Adhere to all infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures.
- Communicate professionally with physicians, nurses, caregivers, scheduling staff, and facility personnel.
- Complete all required documentation, reports, and billing information accurately and within required timeframes.
- Maintain an organized daily schedule while adapting to changes in patient needs and priorities.
- Represent Life Medical professionally while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
