Position Summary

Life Medical is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Ultrasound Technologist to join our expanding diagnostic imaging team. This position is responsible for independently performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable ultrasound equipment in a variety of healthcare settings.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working independently while providing exceptional patient care in a mobile environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Travel to patient homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare locations to perform scheduled ultrasound examinations.
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to:
    • Abdomen
    • Pelvic
    • Renal
    • Thyroid
    • Soft Tissue
    • Breast (if credentialed)
    • Obstetric/Gynecology (if credentialed)
    • Small Parts
    • Additional ultrasound examinations as ordered by the physician
  • Obtain accurate diagnostic images following established scanning protocols and physician orders.
  • Verify patient identity and explain examination procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Accurately document patient information, examination findings, and technical details.
  • Upload completed studies promptly for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment by performing routine cleaning, inspection, and reporting equipment concerns.
  • Adhere to all infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with physicians, nurses, caregivers, scheduling staff, and facility personnel.
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, and billing information accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Maintain an organized daily schedule while adapting to changes in patient needs and priorities.
  • Represent Life Medical professionally while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
