Position Summary
Life Medical is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mobile Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our expanding diagnostic imaging team. This position is responsible for independently performing high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations in a mobile setting while delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable traveling throughout the service area while working independently.
Primary Responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare locations to perform scheduled vascular ultrasound studies.
- Perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to:
- Carotid Duplex Studies
- Venous Duplex Studies
- Peripheral Arterial Studies
- Abdominal Aortic Ultrasounds
- Additional vascular studies as clinically indicated
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images following established protocols and physician orders.
- Ensure complete and accurate patient identification, exam documentation, and image labeling.
- Upload studies promptly for physician interpretation.
- Educate patients regarding examination procedures while providing compassionate, professional care.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment in proper working condition, including routine cleaning, inspection, and reporting of equipment concerns.
- Adhere to all company policies, infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and patient privacy requirements.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and within designated timeframes.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, scheduling staff, nurses, facility personnel, and caregivers to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain an organized daily schedule while adapting to changes in patient needs and priorities.
