Moby Filters | Summer
Moby builds filtration systems that capture microplastics and pollutants from commercial laundry wastewater. You will shape how Moby looks and sounds online, from our website to the interface of our analytics platform to the content that reaches customers, partners, and funders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the Moby website, including layout, structure, and ongoing updates
- Develop intuitive UI/UX for our customer-facing analytics platform
- Create visual content for digital communications: graphics, diagrams, short video, product imagery
- Contribute to social media strategy and build a consistent brand across all online channels
- Translate technical material from the engineering team into clear, accessible visuals and copy
- Build and maintain a reusable asset library and brand guidelines
- Support decks, one-pagers, and materials for customers, partners, and funding applications
- Track engagement and reach, report on what is working, and iterate
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across engineering, product, and business development
- Conduct customer discovery interviews and surveys to sharpen messaging
Required Skills
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Demonstrated UI/UX work, with a portfolio showing real interfaces you designed
- Comfortable building and editing websites (e.g., Webflow, Framer, WordPress, or equivalent)
- Strong visual sense: typography, layout, hierarchy, and color
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Skills
- Front end familiarity (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript or React)
- Experience with data visualization or dashboard design
- Video editing and motion graphics
- Social media content production and channel management
- Experience working with technical or scientific subject matter
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Design, Communications, Marketing, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field
- Previous internship or work experience in design or digital communications is preferred
- Strong portfolio required
