MANTECH Model Based Systems Engineer
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team in Lexington Park, MD. This is an onsite position.
This role supports the Model-Based Systems Engineering Division and the Future Advanced Capability (FAC) Program Office (PMA-228) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in developing the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) capability for the Navy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Apply systems engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate military weapons systems and associated support systems
Build and assess systems engineering and architecture models using Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) methodologies to conduct technical assessments and inform key technical decisions
Perform systems engineering analyses and integrate results with other engineering models to draw conclusions and optimize performance, schedule, timing, and costs across the digital thread
Review and prepare comprehensive engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and technical documentation for program stakeholders
Execute key systems engineering functions, including system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and acquisition support
Analyze, design, and evaluate software components, and systems to ensure alignment with functional and engineering requirements for military weapons systems
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 3+ years of professional engineering experience
2+ years of recent and relevant Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering (MBSE) applications and technology
Experience documenting systems with MBSE tools, such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, or Cameo Collaborator
Experience with integrating systems engineering processes and model-based methodologies across the engineering lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience utilizing modeling languages and frameworks such as SysML, UML, and UAF
Demonstrated understanding of how system requirements, interfaces, design, analysis, verification, and validation are enabled across the digital thread
Experience supporting NAVAIR or Department of Defense (DoD) aviation acquisition programs
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
