Mongodb Database Administrator

Role & responsibilities

• Independently handle complex L2/L3 MongoDB database support cases for critical business applications.

• Manage and maintain MongoDB infrastructure configurations for both sharded and non-sharded production environments.
• Perform expert-level database backup, recovery operations, and disaster recovery planning.
• Drive MongoDB Performance Tuning, triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and proactive database health monitoring.
• Execute data migration strategies using native MongoDB utilities and enterprise solutions.
• Write and optimize database queries using the Mongod command shell and advanced aggregation frameworks.
• Automate routine DBA tasks and maintenance procedures using Unix shell scripting.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional technical teams and clearly communicate technical solutions to non-technical business stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

• Foundational understanding of MongoDB internal architecture.

• Solid understanding of MongoDB infrastructure configurations for sharded and non-sharded deployments.

• Expert skills with MongoDB backup and recovery.

• Expert skills with MongoDB Performance Tuning and Triage.

• Foundational understanding of data migration utilities and solutions.

• Demonstrated understanding of Mongod command shell.

• Demonstrated proficiency in querying MongoDB databases using MongoDB query language (filtering, aggregation, etc.).

• Demonstrated proficiency with Unix shell scripting.

• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
