Baptist Health is hiring a Monitor Technician to our Central Monitoring Unit located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity.


At Baptist Health, a Monitor Technician plays an essential role in patient safety by providing continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation. These technicians are responsible for observing patients’ heart rhythms remotely, identifying any abnormalities, and promptly communicating concerns to the clinical team. Throughout the shift, the Monitor Technician ensures accurate and timely rhythm analysis to support patient care and rapid response.


Monitor Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Continuously observing patients’ cardiac rhythms for changes or abnormalities.
  • Monitoring EKG patterns and accurately interpreting rhythm strips.
  • Documenting and reporting cardiac events to nursing and medical staff.
  • Collaborating with nurses and physicians to ensure timely clinical interventions.

Monitor Technician Experience:

  • 1-2 years Monitor Technician Experience Required

Monitor Technician Education:

  • High School Diploma Required
