Mortgage Forward Deployed Engineer
You will work directly with mortgage clients after the sale, acting as an engineer, architect, and trusted technical advisor. You will design, build, and support integrations with Ocrolus, Encompass, and other mortgage platforms; run proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements; troubleshoot production issues; and share customer feedback that informs the product roadmap. You will partner with Account Management and Product and travel occasionally to customer sites and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical expert and trusted advisor during the post-sales process
- Embed with customer teams to understand mortgage workflows and demonstrate platform value
- Review and consult on technical solutions, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and integrations
- Build and support technical solutions and integrations for mortgage clients
- Run proof-of-concept and proof-of-value engagements
- Troubleshoot technical issues in live environments
- Partner with Account Management and Product to deliver value and influence the roadmap
- Travel occasionally to customer sites and industry events
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting
- 3+ years of experience with mortgage or lending workflows
- Strong understanding and experience with Encompass
- Strong consultative sales or account management approach
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior mortgage executives
- Experience with Python, APIs, Encompass Developer Connect, and SQL
- Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and ICE Secure Scripting Framework
- Familiarity with mortgage LOS/POS platforms, Git, and AWS or Azure
