Most Precious Blood, Fort Wayne - 5th Grade Teacher

The 5th grade teacher is responsible for planning and delivering instruction that supports students’ academic, social, spiritual and emotional development during an important transitional year in elementary school.

• Plan and implement engaging lessons in core subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, and social studies
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behavior using consistent expectations and appropriate interventions
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administration to support student success
• Integrate technology and instructional resources to enhance learning
• Prepare students for increased academic expectations and independence in upper grades

Minimum qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Meets the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and State of Indiana
