An experienced MOT Tester and Vehicle Technician at a family-run independent garage in Haywards Heath: MOT testing in the mornings, general mechanical repairs and servicing in the afternoons, on a permanent 4-day week (Mon–Thu, every Friday off). Requires a DVSA MOT Tester qualification and NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
Pay & Benefits
- Salary: Up to £43,000 basic per annum (pro-rata equivalent paid for a 4-day week)
- Hours: 4 Days a Week, Monday to Thursday — EVERY FRIDAY OFF & STRICTLY NO WEEKENDS

Role Overview
Seeking an experienced MOT Tester and Vehicle Technician for a unique, structured role at our West Sussex workshop. You will handle MOT tests during the morning sessions and transition to general servicing and mechanical repairs in the afternoons—all while enjoying a permanent 4-day working week with Fridays completely off.
Requirements
- Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card / Tester qualification.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Strong proficiency in routine servicing, MOT repairs, and general mechanical fault-finding.
- Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.
