Motion Graphic Designer / Video Editor
About Practice by Numbers
Practice by Numbers (PbN) is an all-in-one operations and analytics platform built for dental practices in the United States. Since 2015 we have helped solo practices, larger dental groups, and DSOs run the business side of dentistry from one connected system instead of a dozen separate tools.
Our marketing team creates helpful, product-focused content for dentists, office managers, and practice owners across social media, video, webinars, and the web. We're adding a motion graphic designer and video editor to make that work better and faster.
The role
We're hiring a Motion Graphic Designer / Video Editor who takes a video from first idea to finished piece. You won't just edit clips that land on your desk. You'll help shape the idea, tighten the script, pitch new formats, and keep our content fresh and in line with what works on each platform.
This is a hands-on senior role focused on motion design. You'll create animated explainers, on-screen titles, moving text, and simple animations that make our product and numbers easy to follow. You'll also edit videos for social media, webinars, ads, and product demos.
Craft comes first. What matters most is clean, eye-catching motion design and editing that holds a viewer's attention from start to finish.
What you’ll do
• Design motion graphics: Create animated explainers, on-screen titles, moving text, and simple animations that make dental and software ideas easy to understand.
• Edit all kinds of video: Short videos for social media (Reels, Shorts), longer content and webinars, ads, and product demos.
• Add creative value: Get involved early, at the idea and script stage. Sharpen the message, write stronger hooks, and reshape videos to keep people watching.
• Pitch new formats. Suggest fresh looks and storytelling ideas, then test them and improve based on what works.
• Follow what's trending. Keep up with platform trends, editing styles, and popular audio, and use the ones that fit a dental and practice-owner audience.
• Own the whole process. Organize footage, animate, edit, fix color and sound, add captions, and save each video in the right format for every platform.
• Work well with the team. Team up with content, social, and campaign owners. Share timelines, give and take feedback, and keep projects moving.
What you bring
• Excellent After Effects and motion graphics skills: This is the heart of the role. You can design and animate explainers, titles, moving text, and simple product or data animations to a clean, professional standard.
• 5+ years of experience: Professional motion graphics and video editing, ideally for a brand, agency, or marketing team.
• Strong command of your tools: Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, plus DaVinci Resolve or CapCut, including adding captions.
• A creative mindset: You come up with ideas, improve scripts, and care about why a video exists and what it should get people to do.
• A feel for each platform: You know what works on short social videos versus longer videos versus ads, and you edit for each.
• Clear, reliable communication: You handle feedback and deadlines without any fuss.
• A strong showreel: A portfolio that shows real range in motion graphics and editing.
AI tools (a plus, not required)
Bonus if you've used AI video or workflow tools for things like background clips, rough cuts, captions, or voiceovers.
Nice to have
• Experience making videos for software, B2B, or healthcare audiences.
• Some experience with sound or color work.
• Some experience making ads and testing different versions to see what performs.
• Comfortable using Canva or Figma for thumbnails and other supporting visuals.
Logistics
• Location: Gurgaon, on-site.
• Type: Full-time.
• Hours: India Standard Time (IST).
• Team: Marketing / Content.
• Experience: 5+ years.
