MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANIC

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, servicing and repair of motor vehicles.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults in vehicles.

• Inspect vehicle engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems and other components.

• Identify vehicle defects and carry out necessary repairs or replacement of faulty parts.

• Conduct vehicle testing after repairs to ensure safety and proper operation.

• Use automotive diagnostic tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.

• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean and organised workshop.

• Follow workshop safety procedures and complete repair work within the required time.

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience in motor vehicle maintenance and repair is preferred.

• Knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and vehicle troubleshooting.

• Ability to use automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn.

• Relevant automotive qualifications or technical training will be an advantage.
