MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR-DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

May operate other tractor trailers or other types of gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles typically with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of over 32,000 pounds. Drives vehicles on public roads (or equivalent) in a full range of traffic conditions and at highway speeds to transport cargo.

Operates heavy load tractor trailer aircraft refueling vehicles. Performs operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires, cleaning and washing of vehicles, and performing inspection checklists to ensure safe and proper operation. Maintains records and documents actions, such as records of fuel dispensed, operator inspection checklists/forms, and accident/incident reports. Checks fuel dispensed against records. Uses two-way radio (or other device) to maintain communications with dispatcher/supervisor on assignments and locations. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
