Motor Vehicle Operator

This position is located at the Fort Peck Service Unit in Poplar, MT and Wolf Point, MT under the Finance department. The incumbent reports to the Supervisory Motor Vehicle Operator. The primary purpose of this position is to operate a variety of Motor Vehicles to provide transportation services. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Daily transports of patients referred from the Poplar and Wolf Point IHS Clinics to and from physician, dentist and hospital appointments in Miles City, Great Falls, Billings, Sidney, Bismark, ND and Williston, ND, and various other places by GSA vehicle. Maintains a record log of daily transports. Perform preventative maintenance inspections on all vehicles. Assist patients, handicapped individuals in and out of vehicle, appointments or lodging area. Assist the Maintenance department in duties working around the clinic area and grounds performing general maintenance functions and various duties as needed.

Incumbent must submit to and successfully pass a urinalysis drug screening prior to appointment. The Incumbent will also be subject to unannounced random drug testing for the duration of their time in this position. Appointment to the position will be contingent upon a negative applicant drug test result and be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug testing upon hiring.
