Abortion Care: At PPRM, we all work in abortion care. This role supports abortion care through direct clinical triage, patient education, and follow-up, ensuring timely and empathetic support to those navigating abortion services.

Ideal Candidate:

• High School graduate (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working in PPRM’s HIV program or comparable experience with related program knowledge.
• Comfortable discussing sexuality and delivering educational curricula in a professional setting.
• Experience engaging and building relationships with diverse communities.
• Skilled in facilitating groups of varying sizes and backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate ethically, effectively, and inclusively.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage responsibilities independently.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with common technology tools.
• Some high school education required; additional learning or training through non-traditional pathways is valued.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

What You'll Do:

Deliver Outstanding Sexual Health Education and Outreach: The core of your job is specialized outreach and education, ensuring you effectively build others’ knowledge, understanding, and capacity within the HIV Program. Participants feel better informed and more empowered as a result of their interactions with you. You use data to monitor progress and measure success, learn from what works, and look for ways to increase reach. To do this, you will Provide specialized outreach to priority populations

• Provide specialized outreach to priority populations.
• Deliver group and 1:1 educational session for internal and external clients regarding HIV Programs.
  • Guide clients in the identification of and connection to appropriate community resources and troubleshoot barriers to care.
• Assist in the development of innovative strategies to improve community education and outreach, including continual revision of curricula, outreach plans, materials, and evaluation strategies.
• Effectively facilitate education to your priority community and the larger surrounding community; including the ability to make green light adaptations to a curriculum in response to the audiences’ needs and demographics.
• Maintain and promote program goals and objectives.
• Collect and monitor program data for tracking and monthly reporting.
• Administer intakes, assessments to program participants.
• Provide HIV testing in community if allowed in your region.
• Use technology to assist in data entry, delivering education sessions and communicating with community members.
• Evaluate program implementation and program outcomes ongoing and according to grant requirements.
• Collaborate closely with HIV Program Manager to coordinate schedules and plan events.

• Serve as representative and content experts for PPRM & HIV Programs at community meetings for networking, promoting health center and education services and working toward larger, community-wide health goals
• Assist the HIV Program Manager in the creation of group and 1:1 educational sessions for internal and external clients regarding HIV Programs.
• Maintain relationships with community partners in an effort to sustain opportunities for PPRM services and educational programs.
• Assist in the development of new material and innovative strategies to improve outreach and education programs through participation in or leadership of taskforces.
• Assist in the developing and maintaining of collaborative relationships with PPRM health centers.
• Lead task forces and special projects within the department.
• Actively participate in, and successfully complete, training provided by PPRM and other organizations that are necessary to job function.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizations to develop opportunities for PPRM educational programs.
• Meet regularly with program manager for observation, guidance, and to provide input on program.
• Participate in self-directed, ongoing knowledge acquisition of research and resources related to the field of sexual health, HIV, and comprehensive sex education.
• Work collaboratively with other PPRM departments to achieve agency-wide goals.
• Serve as representative and content experts for PPRM & RSEI in community.
• Represent PPRM as a brand ambassador by advocating for PPRM and community needs through networking and participation in advisory councils, coalition meetings, and boards, where appropriate, and work to ensure the community has access to PPRM programs and services.

Salary Range: $26.54 - $33.63/hour
*Although our full pay range is included above, the budgeted hiring range for new hires is $26.54 - $30.08/hour and based on related professional experience
